After studying English literature, my thirst for reading was quenched for a good while. Once graduated, it came up again. One sneaky purchase later and I'm good to go. Here's my selection:
Bridget Jones' Diary by Helen Fielding - I've read it in the past, but never owned it. Bridget is one of my favorite literary characters. If you want a funny, emotional and well-written book, look no further.
Tender Is The Night by F. Scott Fitzgerald - Something by Fitzgerald (other than Gatsby) has been on my list a while. It's about a well-loved couple in a town in France and an actress who shakes things up.
We Were Liars by E. Lockhart - Recommended by Essiebutton. About a girl and her "perfect" family, who own an island where they spend each Summer. The story sucks you in from the first page.
The Almost Nearly Perfect People by Michael Booth - Because of Estée and Aslan's vlogs, I've been intrigued by Scandinavia. This book discusses the countries' history and facts; all told in a fun way.
The Garden Party by Katherine Mansfield - Read this in uni and it really affected me. It's a short story about a girl who is at that age when you wonder about your place in the world. It makes you think.
Have you read any of these? And do you have any recommendations?
