That One Obvious Resolution : Getting My Workout On



Yes, I know, how original of me to start off the new year saying I want to get 'more fit' and 'more healthy'. But, hear me out. 'Cause this year I come with a game plan.

My goals for this year are threefold : get in better physical shape (aka don't be tired after one flight of stairs, Anouk),  get more lean and be more healthy in general.

Besides trying to eat more healthily, I am actually trying out a combination of three different workouts to achieve my goals (and, frankly, to not get bored along the way). Here's my game plan for project Gettin In Shape In 2016 1.0 :

Cardio / Resistance : Charlotte Crosby's 3 Minute Belly Blitz (€15.00) - twice a week
I absolutely love this DVD. The workouts are fun, they vary in style and you can make them as hard or as easy as you want. Just roll out your mat, pop in the DVD and start pushing yourself (do make sure you have a bottle of water on hand, 'cause you will sweat. A lot).

Flexibility : Yoga With Adrienne (free) - once a week
With all the strenght-building and cardio, I also wanted to give my body some relaxation and flexibility excercises. I really like Adrienne's personality and her videos are easy to follow. I particularly like 30 Days of Yoga , Yoga For Beginners and the Yoga Camp Series.

Resistance : jogging (free) - once a week
Besides the two inside workouts, I like to run outside once a week with the BF. For this I make little playlists on my iPhone (I can highly recommend the new Justin Bieber album).
