The Scotland Haul

Now as every non-UK resident with a love for beauty knows, when you travel to the UK you HAVE to visit at least one Boots or you will regret it. I went to two, but I came prepared: I made a list and stuck to it. My wallet now thanks me. So here it is, my humble Scotland haul.
First the bag that carried these items: the H&M Shopping Bag. I'm pretty sure it is a dupe for the Michael Kors Jet Set Travel Tote. As its fans will know, this one is large. It is a handy overnight bag or even for work/school if you have to cary a lot of stuff. Now on to its contents.
The brushes are the - surprise, surprise - Real Techniques Core Collection, which I mainly bought for the Buffing Brush. I already own Real Techniques brushes and always desired the Buffing Brush, but the fact that it comes in a set meant that I was kind of on the fence about it. I'm happy I finally caved, because I think I'll use the Buffing Brush a lot, as well as the Contour Brush.
Next, two concealers: Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer in 010 Ivory and Bourjois Healthy Mix Concealer in 51 Eclat Clair. Although I don't like the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation (too heavy for me), I fell in love with the concealer. It is light-weight and, as the name suggests, wakes up my eyes and brightens them. I already owned the Bourjois one in shade 52. I adored the formula, but 52 was just too dark. As this concealer has gone MIA in Belgium, it went on my Scotland list.
There is another Rimmel product in the bunch: the Scandaleyes Waterproof Kohl Kajal in Nude. Apparently, Belgium decided to not stock every shade, and this was the one I wanted. So, as with the Bourjois concealer, it was put on my Scotland list. These eyeliners stay put like no one's business, even on the waterline. I'd definitely recommend checking these out.
Next to the Rimmel concealer you see two Soap and Glory products. One Heck of A Blot translucent powder and Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Stick in Fuchsia-Ristic. I bought the powder because of Estee and the gloss stick because of Fleur. I haven't tried the powder but the gloss stick is really nice. It is a subtle rosy color with a hint of gloss.
(Almost there!) For nails, I bought two Barry M Gelly Nail Effects: Papaya and Greenberry. Both very summery colors. I'm wearing Papaya right now and have to say that although I love the way it looks and feels, it wasn't the easiest to apply. I find it went on rather streaky and expected it to be more opaque after one coat. Besides that, it is lovely and seems to stay put well.
Last but not least, candles and a random eye gel. I've wanted a Yankee Candle for years, so I bought a medium sized one: Fluffy Towels. Because let's face it, who doesn't love the scent of freshly washed linen? The other one is from Arran Aromatics, which has it's main store on the Isle of Arran. There I bought Eydis, which smells like bergamot, grapefruit and violet. While I was there, I also bought their green tea eye gel, because my eyes were puffy. This really helped de-puff and reduced my ever so dark under-eye circles.
That is all... If you made it to this point, I applaud you! See you next week!
