July Favorites 2013

I know, I know. I'm kinda late with the July favorites. But the awesomeness of this bundle of joy will make you forget about all that in a second. Let me introduce you to...
My skincare favorites. All hail to the Eucerin Sun Fluid SPF 30 Mattifying sunscreen (+/- £15). I'm not one to put SPF 50 all over my face (yes, because Caroline Hirons told me so), but they do have it in 50 if you prefer. This one provides an undetectable and matte finish to the skin. No moisturizer needed and no problems with applying makeup afterwards. So, big ups to this one!
Now, the down side to SPF is that your face doesn't tan. Which means I've been compromising by using the Clarins Liquid Bronze Self Tanning lotion (£18) twice a week. I've been using this since spring and I still love it so much. It's easy to use for self-tanning newbs like myself: doesn't streak, subtle tan, not orange. Win, win, win. On to the rest of my face!
I'm one of those who find a full face of make-up during summer suffocating. But those under-eye bags need concealing. I'm loving the Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer in 010 Ivory (£5.49) and the Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch in 01 Ivory (£6.99), which provides that bit more coverage where my bags are at its darkest. To apply these I've been using the Real Techniques Contour Brush from the Core Collection (£21.99). It's fluffy, dense and not too big; perfect for the eye area.
Powder wise, there's another holy two: Rimmel Stay Matte Powder (£3.00) and NARS Laguna Bronzer (£26; which I talked about in my Bronzer post here).
Last but not least, eyes and lips. I cannot live without mascara. My eyes look really tiny and weird without it. At the moment, I am loving the Maybelline Rocket one (£7.99), which many people either love or hate. I'm definitely on the love side; it gives a lot of volume, which I like.
The Rimmel Scandaleyes Kohl Kajal in 012 Bronze (£3.99) is another favorite. I like the look of a subtle-yet-not-that-subtle line under my eyes, but I find black is too dark. This bronze shade is perfect for  some definition. Plus it stays on like nothing else. For smudging the kohl pencil I've been using MAC eye shadow in Wedge (£12.50), which is a matte nude color.
And for lips, I'm still in love with my Maybelline 14 Hr Lipstick in Neverending Pink (£6.99). Who doesn't love bright pink lips? I know I do!
