A couple of weeks ago I was lucky enough to be tagged by the lovely Charlotte from Makeup By Candlelight to do the Top 10 Tag. As I loved the idea and really pondered on my top 10, it took me a while to do this tag. I ended up selecting products I use (almost) on a daily basis. So here are my top 10 beauty products, in no particular order.
1. Cocoya extra virgin coconut oil (£20,00) - Talked about here, I use this to remove my makeup, as a hair mask, body moisturizer, cuticle oil and to cook. It ain't cheap, yet it is such an all round product and definitely worth its price.
2. Clarins Liquid Bronze Self Tanning (£18.00) - The perfect self-tanning lotion for a noob like me. It gives a very gradual, natural tan without any streaks or weird self-tanner smells.
3. Bioderma H2O Micellar Solution (about £15) - By now, everyone is tired of its being mentioned; but I simply can't live without it. Many toners break me out, yet this one can do no wrong. It's gentle, has no smell and does the job. I have a stock of at least two bottles at all times.
4. Bourjois Healthy Mix Serum in 52 (£10.99) - This changed my opinion on foundations. No joke. The color matches my skin perfectly and buffed in with a buffing brush this just looks like second skin. Medium coverage and good lasting power. Love, love, love.
5. Bare Minerals Original Foundation in Fairly Light (£25.00) - For I-can't-bother-with-foundation-yet-I-do-want-coverage days. Goes on smoothly, stays all day and does not look cakey. Also good for moist weather conditions; I used this in Singapore and it did not budge. True story.
6. NARS Laguna bronzer (£26.00) - Totally worth the hype. I am so pale and this does not look orange on me. That alone is a reason to buy it. Next to that it just gives the most natural tan/contour without being shimmery - happy cheer. will definitely buy this again when it runs out.
7. Urban Decay Naked Palette (£36.00) - My very first eyeshadow palette. I was so happy when I got this, and I still love it just as much. It is so versatile and a great investment. Of all the shades there is just one I don't use, which is A+ for a matte/neutral eyeshadow gal like myself.
8. Essie Canyon Coral (£7.50) - The perfect mixture of red/orange/pink (swatched here). Such a wearable color for all seasons. And you can't go wrong with red, can you?
9. Real Techniques brushes - These just make my life so much easier. Soft bristles and easy to wash. And they have such good price/value balance. I definitely recommend checking these out if you are looking for some good brushes. The face brushes are especially nice.
10. Eau de Toilette by ChloĆ© (+/- £42.50) - My staple perfume. I describe it in my perfume post here. This is just such a nice day/night perfume. Girly but not too much, present but not overwhelming.
That's all for this tag. I really loved selecting these products. Now on to the people I tag!
