September meant the start of my final year at university and the start of colder weather *sighs*. This month I have a few new favorites and the return of an old one.
The new academic year means getting up at 6.15 AM most days - yikes. So lots of can I get ready in 10 minutes feelings. That's where the Clinique Chubby Stick in Fuller Fudge (£17.00) comes in. Sweep over the lid, blend out with your finger et voilà, eye shadow done. You can go natural or get a more dramatic brown if you layer it. I know I'll use this a lot in my early mornings.
Now I never put mascara on my lower lashes. But I've been giving it a go and I actually quite like it. But lots of mascaras smudge on my lower lashes. That's why, in the spirit of my early morning 10 minute routine, I decided to try out the new Maybelline Big Eyes Volum' Express (around £13.00). Two brushes in one mascara, for the upper and for the lower lashes. I quite liked the idea. I really love it so far, though I do get some minor smudging after about 6 hrs.
With colder weather kicking in, my skin has been more dry. I'm trying out two products from L'Oréal's Skin Perfection range: the Day Moisturizer (£9.99) and the Advanced Serum (£13.33). Both claim to perfect the skin's appearance and are aimed at 20-30 year old skin. I'll be doing a separate post when I've tried them out properly, but I'm really liking how they have rehydrated my skin so far. My skin actually feels refreshed after putting it on. I'm impressed.
The final favorite is an old one. With my skin being slightly more on the drier side this month, my lips have been chapped as well. So I've been reaching for my Revlon Lip Butter in Strawberry Shortcake (£7.99) a lot this month. The perfect baby pink, and hydrating as well.
That's all for September. I'll be reporting back on the L'Oréal Skin Perfection range very soon! What have been your favorites this month?
