November Favorites 2013

November has meant discovery. Both complexion and lips have gone through a big change.

It started when Zoella and Kayleigh mentioned the Rimmel Match Perfection (£6.99) foundation. I was looking for something that a) matched my fair skin, and b) gave a bit more coverage for winter. So I bought it in Ivory (£6.99). Where has this been all my life?! It matches me perfectly, gives medium coverage with a matte/slightly dewy finish, and it stays put all day (for real). It's love.

My next discovery is also in the line of complexion. When the Bourjois Java Rice powder (£9.99) came out, I bought it but didn't really get on with it. Then I heard that it kind of works like the Hourglass Lighting powders. I tried it out one day and was stunned. It gives such a glow and sets your foundation; but do wear it sparingly as it can look too shimmery otherwise.

The other discoveries are lip related. Cold weather messes up my lips beyond repair. As I said in my AM routine, I use Clarins Replenishing Lip Balm (£18.00), but that can be a bit sticky. So I  bought the much-raved-about Nuxe Rêve De Miel (£9.50), and let me tell you, it's worth the hype. It keeps my lips hydrated all night and +/- 5 hours during the day. I've never used anything like it.

My lips being dry and all, I've not been able to wear a lot of lipstick this month. But I do love me some berry during winter, so I opted for the Maybelline Baby Lips in 20 Grape Vine (£2.99). This is so nourishing and provides a subtle berry tint for my lips.

Only one more month till Christmas. I can hardly contain my excitement *shrieks*.
