Dark circles are hereditary and often you can't just sleep or drink them off (although both do help). No matter how much I sleep, I still carry my blue friends with me. Makeup matriarch Bobbi Brown suggests a combo of correcting and concealing: corrector to brighten and concealer to lighten.

My current 'correctors' are Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch in Ivory (£6.99) and Collection's Lasting Perfection Concealer in Light (£4.19). The Maybelline one has a peachy undertone, which is great to correct. I only use Collection when bags are out of control, as I find it can be a little drying.
What I look for in a concealer is lightness in both color and texture. The 'correctors' I use can be a tad drying or thick, so the highlighting ones need to cancel that out. My favorites are the YSL Touche Eclat in 2 (£39.50) and L'Oréal Lumi Magique in 1 Light (£8.49).
Right now, my favorite combo is the Maybelline Dream Lumi and the L'Oréal Lumi Magique. A mixture of both conceals almost every kind of dark-circle day and doesn't crease at all.
