The Review: Naked Basics 2 Palette

Being a neutrals gal, I love my Urban Decay Naked Palette. However, I use the Basics palette more (mattes are more for me). You can imagine my excitement at the release of the Basics 2 (€28.60).

Features
Now, like with the original Naked Palette and the Naked 2, the Naked Basics 2 has more cool-toned shades than the original Basics (as you can see from the last picture). The packaging is also matte and more cool-toned than the original - I see what you did there, Urban Decay.

There is one pearl-ish shade (Skimp) and five mattes (Stark, Frisk, Cover, Primal, Undone). The quality of the shadows is, like always with UD, very buttery and long-wearing.

The Lowdown: Basics One or Two?
I use all the shades from the second one and only four from the original (I don't use Foxy and Crave). Odd, as I usually don't gravitate towards cool-toned shadows (so don't let that fool you). I only wish Skimp was a tad more shimmery; more like Venus from the original Basics palette.

There you go, I pick the second Basics palette. It actually has become my favorite palette tout court.

What about you? Which one do you prefer?
