The Review: Jo Malone Wood Sage & Sea Salt

(I know. I caved.)

When I went to London, I wanted to finally see what all the fuss was about the Jo Malone Wood Sage & Sea Salt perfume (€ 116 for 100 ml). I was also convinced I wouldn't fall for it. Boy was I wrong.

First of all: it ain't cheap. However, I believe in spending more on certain products; a well-made perfume really makes a difference, not only in the quality of the smell, but also in how long it lingers on your skin. And this lasts all day. No joke. At one point I thought I still smelled it after I showered.

This perfume is described by Jo Malone as a 'woody' scent, with notes of ambrette seeds, sea salt and sage. It gives a warmth and freshness at the same time. Such a unique and versatile scent.

In short: yes, it is pricey, but - at least to me - worth the money if you are looking for a new staple, every day, day to night appropriate scent.

Have you tried Wood Sage & Sea Salt? What do you think?
