Wanderings: London

I just got back from two days of London with my auntie. London is definitely one of my favorite places to be: the people, the atmosphere, the food, the architecture... it gives me so much energy.

We stayed at the CitizenM hotel on the Bankside. As I'd never really explored that part of London, it was nice to see it in full bloom every day. The hotel has a really cool vibe and Scandinavian design, with sofas to lounge in and a big bar. The rooms were hip and functional. I'd definitely recommend it!

The weather was perfect for the beginning of March, with 15° C and sunshine all day.

Now, I had a big to do / buy list in mind. We went to Oxford Street on Friday to get our shopping done (before the weekend!) and had lunch at Smack Lobster - such a fun idea and so delicious!

After some more shopping, we had the loveliest afternoon tea in Le Chalet, on the roof of Selfridges.

On Saturday, we started with breakfast at Borough Market. Then on to Covent Garden for shopping and lunch at Wahaca (the guacamole is amazing). After lunch, we strolled towards Trafalgar Square and sat in St. James park. We ended our trip at the British Museum - the dome still gives me chills.

My auntie and I had the loveliest little getaway. I'm already thinking of going back soon.

London, you have my heart.
