One of the obvious things I do is look up hotels, activities, hotels, etc. in the city I will visit. For this, I mainly use good ol' Tripadvisor; in my opinion one of the best sources to get informed.
But it wasn't until recently that I started 'reviewing' things myself on Tripadvisor. And it is actually so fun. You get to 'tick off' the countries/cities you've visited and it tells you how much of the world you've seen - that's only 9% for me, so I've got a long way to go, but hey, I'm still young!
I find it so fun to reflect on places you have visited or restaurant you've dined at. That way, you can help other people whilst also keeping a log of where you've been and what you liked or disliked.
You can easily make an account and start reviewing yourself.
How do you prepare for a trip?
-- My Summer plans are actually so exciting. I'm visiting Athens, Glyfada, Copenhagen, Aarhus and Stockholm. And I'm sure all of those will make their way to Frankly Anouk.
