When Estée Lauder announced their collab with Kendall Jenner, I got all kinds of excited - who doesn't love Kendall? And v smart way of EL to attract a younger audience.
My heart skipped a beat when I saw 'Restless' (€33.11, ouch): a neon orange-y red. The packaging is like their Pure Color Envy lipsticks: a dark purple bullet (magnetic!). But this one is matte, giving it a luxurious feel, and making it a lovely handbag product.
And just like the packaging, this lipstick is matte, very matte. I've read some find it uncomfortable to wear. Even though I have dry lips, I find - with lip balm - it not at all uncomfortable. And it stays put after eating and drinking, which is incredible.
I like to stamp it onto my lips, then blend with my finger and apply another layer to make it more opaque before I go over the edges with a lip brush. Et voila, done!
This might well be my Summer favorite, and can even carry me into early Autumn. And, dare I say, a new staple lipstick? I know, I know, but I seriously love it. Well done, EL + KJ!
